The Village of Lodi was founded in 1811 and is the oldest settlement in Medina County, Ohio. Harrisville Township was established in 1814 in what would become Medina County, Ohio in 1818.
The Lodi Fire Department was formed in 1890 with a hose cart and about 300 feet of hose. In the 1970′s, The Lodi Fire Department started running EMS calls after receiving their 1st ambulance. Today, The Lodi Fire Department has 3 class A engines and 2 advance life support ambulances.
